varieties all of which are actually grown in the orchard behind the shop.
The eggs are free range, delicious and one quite often finds double yolkers. Jams and chutneys are homemade by local ladies from produce grown in the orchard. The plum jam is devine and I'm totally addicted to the chilli jelly, so much so that I persauded the nice people who run the shop to get me the recipe.
There is even a section devoted to the birds with a wide variety of resonably priced wild bird seeds.

All so much nicer than the supermarket especially as my shopping is carried to the car.
Hi Carol, thanks for visiting, its nice to meet you. The Farm shop looks great, and a bag of apples for 1 pound that's a wonderful price.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing what you have been up to in the future posts. I will add you to my sidebar blog list (my way of following),bye , Tam x
Hi Carol,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog. I took a quick look around your sweet blog and am now a follower. I also went over to your son's blog and I'm following there too and looking forward to his posts.

I agree, it is so nice to go to a farm shop and support local people. Everything is so fresh and has a better taste too. The chilli jelly sounds very good and I love plum jam... on hot buttered toast! I have been following your youngest son's blog and have enjoyed looking at the pictures of all your lovely horses and ponies. It is great that he is so enthusiastic, (my son will not go near my horse!) and look forward to seeing his future posts. Abby x
ReplyDeleteHello Carol,
ReplyDeleteHow nice this local farm shop, wish I had one in our neighbourhood.
Love the birdhouses !
Thanks for your lovely comment !
Have a nice week,

What a lovely little shop! I'm so envious. We don't have anything like that here. Although, there is a blueberry farm about 20 miles away - can't wait til blueberry season gets here ;).
ReplyDeleteYour blog is lovely too - such charming photos!
Blessings,
GG
I have been having fun reading your older posts, oh how I wish we had a place like this....
