Martin Clunes Horsepower

My youngest son and I have just spent the last hour watching Martin Clunes
It was quite simply wonderful or in the words of my son awesome!
And there 's more next week.

  1. Hi Carol,
I watched this too and was quite moved by its gentleness, and MC's obvious love for his horse (and boy, wasn't he the Paragon of Virtue that you ALWAYS want to find for your husband!)
Some of it, I thought, was a tad over-simplified...there's a bit more to join-up than shooshing the horse away twice and then stopping it and have it follow you around, and I did wonder why the man on the beach with the horses he empathised with so much was teaching them rather demeaning tricks, but then maybe I'm just being picky...I'm really looking forward to the next episode!

    Have a lovely week, xx

  2. I've recorded this and can't wait to watch it later with a cup of tea and some cake! I would have watched it last night but I was knackered, and of course everyone at my yard was talking about it this morning so I'm feeling a bit left out!!

  4. OH dear, we've chosen not to get UK TV over here in France - and sometimes it's a hard choice! But it does look good, doesn't it?

Thanks for your comment about my Cordes sur Ciel post - it really was an amazing place.

  5. We watched it again last night via the internet and enjoyed it just as much as the first time. Yes it's heavily edited ( can you imagine the mayhem if it wasn't!) but it's quite charming and the love just shines through.
As for Chester yes he'd be perfect for my husband and middle son who are in fact looking for a riding shire, I however have my eye on a suffolk punch x for them ... we'll see.
